-Psychopathology, as a core science in psychology, has become one of  the main foundations of psychological sciences and its related fields.  The study of the relationship between culture and psychopathology has  emerged as a topic of considerable interest and influence. The impact of  cultural factors in psychopathology, health, and illness is to the extent  that even the understanding of how symptoms arise is influenced by a  person’s cultural setting. Creating a book on psychopathology with  culturally adapted interventions and adding Islamic aspects as a  “unifying cultural element” was one of the necessities of today’s scientific  community of psychology. This book explores different ways cultural  variations contribute to psychopathology and provides an overview of  and illustrates the interrelationships between psychopathology and  culture. The book examines how the cultural context in Iran which is  mainly motivated by the religious beliefs of clients affects psychopathology.
